Whoop Whoop...It's the 30th!

And do you know what that means?  Yes, it's Friday...Yes, it's almost April...but most importantly it's FOODIE PEN PAL REVEAL DAY!!
The Lean Green Bean

This is my first month participating as a Foodie Pen Pal and I am so glad I did! Not only have I met 2 fantastic women, the person you mail to is not the person who mails to you!

First and Foremost, here are some details about Foodie Penpals:
-On the 5th of every month, you will receive your penpal pairing via email. It will be your responsibility to contact your penpal and get their mailing address and any other information you might need like allergies or dietary restrictions.
-You will have until the 15th of the month to put your box of goodies in the mail. On the last day of the month, you will post about the goodies you received from your penpal
-The boxes are to be filled with fun foodie things, local food items or even homemade treats! The spending limit is $15. The box must also include something written. This can be anything from a note explaining what’s in the box, to a fun recipe…use your imagination!
-You are responsible for figuring out the best way to ship your items depending on their size and how fragile they are. (Don’t forget about flat rate boxes!)
-Foodie Penpals is open to blog readers as well as bloggers. If you’re a reader and you get paired with a blogger, you are to write a short guest post for your penpal to post on their blog about what you received. If two readers are paired together, neither needs to worry about writing a post for that month.
-Foodie Penplas is open to US & Canadian residents.  Please note, Canadian Residents will be paired with other Canadians only. We’ve determined things might get too slow and backed up if we’re trying to send foods through customs across the border from US to Canada and vice versa. So, I’m going to keep two separate lists and match US w/ US and Canada w/ Canada!

If you’re interested in participating for April, please CLICK HERE to fill out the participation form and read the terms and conditions. You will also find contact information on that page for the UK branch of Foodie Penpals if you’re a blogger across the pond!
You must submit your information by April 4th as pairings will be emailed on April 5th!
Ok, Ok....I know you are interested to see what I got, but don't forget to sign-up afterwards, so you to can be in on all the fun!
My Foodie Penpal this month was Jill from Eating As A Path To Yoga! Honestly friends, I can not tell you how excited I was to open my package and see "The Fresh Market" label on several labels! Of course, I was also excited to just receive all the yummy treats, but "The Fresh Market" holds a very special place in my heart! It's one of my favorite stores from back home. My Mom and I always go there when I'm home for some delicious treats, and it's my favorite place to pick up flowers! Of course, there aren't many around but if you have one in your area, you must check it out--if you haven't already.
Raspberry Lime Green Tea, Orange Blossom Honey, and Greek Dressing

Jill saw that I had just started (and might I add LOVED, more to come on this later!) a Gluten Free cleanse, so she was sure to include some fantastic GF options in my package. I am most excited to try the Blueberry Muffins this weekend. The granola was yummy...definitely devoured as a munchie for my road trip this past week!
Along with some wonderful edible goodies, Jill included a lovely print out of quotes for Mindful Eating. Appropriately, just what I needed, as I am currently working thru some serious moments of "emotional eating"! Obviously immediately placed on the fridge!

Thanks Jill! You're amazing! Go see what she got from her Foodie Penpal!!

And if you want to see what I got for my Penpal...
Check out Tiffany's Blog!

Happy Friday Ya'll

P.S. Sorry for the absence, but I have been on the road... :)
